About the role
Our team is looking to hire a Commercial HVAC Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and install HVAC systems. If you are interested in joining a team where you can further develop your skills and work with an excellent customer base, we would like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearings, etc.
- Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
- Determine customer concerns with HVAC and boiler systems.
- Follow standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
- Record and report faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
- Adjust system controls to setting recommended by manufacturer to balance system.
- Recommend, develop, or perform maintenance procedures such as cleaning, power-washing, or vacuuming equipment, lubricate parts, or changing filters.
- Install auxiliary components to heating-cooling equipment, such as expansion and discharge valves, air ducts, pipes, blowers, dampers, flues, and stokers, following blueprints.
- Study blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components.
- Fabricate, assemble, or install duct work or chassis parts, using portable metal-working tools or welding equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience.
- Universally EPA Certified (EPA 608 certification).
- Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components with built-up systems and package units, which may include chiller air handler pump towers, cooling towers, control systems, boilers, and air handling systems.
- Ability to learn commercial expertise in boilers, chillers, pneumatic controls, digital controls, and packaged HVAC equipment.
- Ability to read electronic schematics.
- High School diploma/GED required + equivalent work experience.
