Salary
Total compensation package: $39.12 per hour! ($23.87/hr. plus $15.25 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k.)
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect motors, pulleys and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists
- Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery
- Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts
- Repair or replace parts and reassemble equipment
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Essential Skills
- Some knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in heating and cooling equipment and machinery
- Works effectively in a team
- Follows verbal instructions and adheres to policies and procedures
- Adaptable and flexible in work situations
- Prioritizes tasks to ensure completion in a timely manner
- Practices workplace safety in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in repair of HVAC equipment, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training in a variety of building and/or utility trades
- Valid driver's license compliant with REAL ID Act or willing and able to obtain one
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Regular, dependable attendance
- Overtime available evenings & weekends
- U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
- Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
- Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
- Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces
- Lifting and adjusting heavy objects, contact with sharp, hot and/or very cold supplies and equipment
- Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Highly prefer someone with basic knowledge of HVAC refrigeration and/or systems
- CFC License or ability to obtain CFC License (minimum Type 2) within 90 days of employment
