What You Will Do
Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking skilled HVAC Mechanics to support the growth of their HVAC business in North America. As a trusted advisor, you will troubleshoot, repair, and replace commercial heating and cooling systems, providing solutions to improve facility efficiency and resolve service issues.
Required
- Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
- Twelve (12) years of commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience in HVAC and Industrial Petro-Chemical, or Data Center vertical environments.
- Experience with rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to lead complex repairs, installations, and retrofits.
- Knowledge of centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers, and ammonia/hydrocarbon system components.
- Ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification.
- Experience installing complete systems, including chillers, rooftop units, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in mechanical shaft alignment and vibration analysis.
- Able to travel up to 20% to support branch customers.
- Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
