What You Will Do

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking skilled HVAC Mechanics to support the growth of their HVAC business in North America. Mechanics must have practical work experience in light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment.

• Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and open-drive screw chillers.
• Provide solutions and outcomes at the time of commissioning and aftermarket service.
• Offer recommendations and solutions to ensure facilities run efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

How Will You Do It

We are looking for skilled HVAC Mechanics who have practical work experience in their trade, such as HVAC piping, plumbing, pipefitting, and/or mechanical equipment service industry. Mechanics must have practical working experience in light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment.

Required

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Minimum of three (3) years commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry, including rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, plumbing.
• Able to use vibration equipment to troubleshoot drivelines and mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators, etc.
• Able to travel up to 20% to support Branch Customer activities, trouble shooting, installation, and repair.
• Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.

Pay Range

The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role. However, exceptional candidates may bring unique skills and experiences that exceed the typical profile. The pay range is $20.45-45.53 hourly, determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) or rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
