HVAC Mechanic - New Home Construction

About the role

J.f. Sobieski Mechanical Contractors, Inc. is seeking a full-time Residential New Construction HVAC Mechanic to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing heating and cooling systems in new homes, assisting in training HVAC helpers, and contributing to the growth of the company.

Responsibilities

• Install heating and cooling systems in new residential constructions
• Train HVAC helpers on installation techniques and best practices
• Ensure compliance with applicable state codes and industry standards
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installations
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines
• Maintain high-quality workmanship and adhere to safety protocols

Requirements

• Licensed as a journeyman (preferred)
• 5+ years of new home construction experience
• Hands-on knowledge of residential HVAC construction and ability to read blueprints
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions, heights, and tight spaces
• Own hand tools commonly used by HVAC mechanics
