About the role
Responsible for maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in a federal building setting. Duties include troubleshooting equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC issues using diagnostic tools and knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure system efficiency.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with other building staff and contractors as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- At least 3 years of experience in HVAC maintenance or related field.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Proficient in using HVAC diagnostic tools.
- Knowledgeable about HVAC codes and standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Pay
$18.50 - $20.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
