HVAC Mechanic (Federal Building)

About the role

Responsible for maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in a federal building setting. Duties include troubleshooting equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC issues using diagnostic tools and knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure system efficiency.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with other building staff and contractors as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• At least 3 years of experience in HVAC maintenance or related field.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

• Proficient in using HVAC diagnostic tools.
• Knowledgeable about HVAC codes and standards.

Pay

$18.50 - $20.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
