About the role

Installs, inspects, maintains, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on all heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems.

Maintains and applies current knowledge of steam distribution piping, valves, chilled and hot water reheat systems, and Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) operation.

Develops and implements departmental equipment procedures for power outages.

Prepares preventive maintenance schedule and produces reports.

Identifies equipment needs, parts, and supplies, and maintains adequate inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Extensive knowledge of hospital Mechanical systems and all components of the system.
  • Troubleshooting skills for HVAC equipment.
  • Cutting, brazing, soldering various ferrous materials.
  • Running, splicing, connecting, testing, troubleshooting electrical circuits associated with HVAC equipment.
  • Develops and implements departmental equipment procedures for power outages.
  • Prepares preventive maintenance schedule and produces reports.
  • Identifies equipment needs, parts, and supplies, and maintains adequate inventory.
