HVAC Maintenance Technician

About the role

HVAC Maintenance Technician – $24–$28/hr + spiffs. Full‑time position in Murray / Sandy, UT with a locally owned, veteran‑owned One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning franchise. The role offers a clear career path from Maintenance Tech to Service Tech, paid training through One Hour’s Success Academy, a take‑home van, phone, tablet, uniforms, and year‑round hours with no seasonal layoffs.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and tune‑ups on residential furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.
• Inspect systems, document findings, and flag repair or replacement needs for the service team.
• Enroll homeowners in the maintenance membership program.
• Keep a neat work area and inspect it after every job.
• Wear floor savers in the client’s home.
• Maintain a clean, stocked company vehicle.
• Drive and work safely every day.

Requirements

• 1+ year of HVAC experience (maintenance, install, or apprenticeship) or completion of an HVAC trade school program.
• EPA Section 608 certification (Type II or Universal); assistance provided to obtain Universal if needed.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑first attitude.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and possession of basic tools.
• Clean driving record.

Pay

$24.00–$28.00 per hour, plus membership and accessory spiffs.
