HVAC Lead Installer

Job Description

Install, and change-out of residential and light commercial air conditioning, ventilation and heating systems.

Plan and perform an installation to the requirements of local code with the expectation that each job passes final mechanical on the first time.

Communicate with customers while on site and provide them an outstanding install experience.

Ensure jobs are properly staged and complete and sign off on installation checklists.

Able to use electrical test equipment, pressure gauges, hand tools, and power tools.

Able to work independently, or part of a team, to identify and resolve problems in the field.

Must be honest, dependable with high integrity and represent a professional company image.

Categorize and organize inventory to maximize operational efficiency.

Explain the benefits of maintenance contracts to current customers to ensure products last longer.

Perform preventative maintenances to protect the customers investment.

Job Skills & Qualifications

• Proficient at residential and light commercial installations
• 5 to 10 years or more of HVAC install experience
• Current driver’s license and good driving record
• EPA Certification
• Pass drug test and background check
• Have own tools
• Advanced understanding of layout, design, fabrication and installation
• Basic fabrication knowledge of sheet metal fittings
• Start up and trouble shoot furnaces, air handlers, heat pumps and condensing units
• Good understanding of line and low voltage wiring, relays, transformers, wiring diagrams
• Excellent customer relations skills and an open mind to think outside of the box
• Experience in, and ability to run service and maintenance calls
• NATE Certified

Salary and Benefits

Salary is commensurate with qualification and experience. Starting pay range for qualified candidates is $30 with potential for up $45 per hour taking into account performance based incentives.

Monday through Friday

8am to 5pm

Occasional overtime and late evenings
