HVAC Installer

About the role

Jetson is seeking experienced HVAC Installers to join our team. Our goal is to accelerate the transition of 100 million homes towards sustainable energy use by providing reliable, efficient, and affordable heat pump installations.

Responsibilities

• Complete full heat pump system installs from start to finish, including removing existing gas equipment and preparing spaces for new installations.
• Execute refrigerant recovery, system evacuation, and proper charging with care and precision.
• Read blueprints and wiring diagrams to execute installs accurately and troubleshoot confidently.
• Stay current on local building codes and ensure all jobs are compliant before wrapping up.
• Deliver a standout customer experience by answering questions clearly, addressing concerns on the spot, and ensuring homeowners feel great about their decision.
• Catch quality issues early and speak up when necessary to correct them.
• Maintain organized, well-stocked vehicles and warehouse as part of your daily routine.
• Collaborate with fellow installers and our engineering team to identify better ways of doing things and help us continuously improve.

Requirements

• Solid hands-on residential HVAC install experience, including working in attics, crawlspaces, and tight or physically demanding environments.
• HVACR licence (required).
• EPA Section 608 Certification (required or actively in progress).
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics.
• Working knowledge of local building codes and how to stay compliant.
• Strong refrigerant handling skills — recovery, evacuation, and charging done right.
• A sharp eye for quality and a low tolerance for cutting corners.
• Clear, professional communication with both customers and teammates.
• A problem-solving mindset when installs don't go exactly as planned.
• Physical stamina to handle heavy equipment and work across varied conditions.
• Experience with heat pumps or mini-splits is a strong plus — we'll invest in growing that expertise if you're eager to learn.

Skills

• Familiarity with OSHA Electrical Standard.
• Knowledge of OSHA's Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) standard.

$28 - $36 per hour
