Position Summary: The HVAC Estimator will be responsible for the bidding, documenting, and estimating adjustments to ensure quality project takeoffs in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Download and review all Bid Documents before setting up folders.
- Schedule review meetings.
- Perform equipment counts and understand the installation labor needed for each type.
- Use different programs to select and create equipment/material lists.
- Provide installation designs and equipment lists using builder/GC provided plans.
- Create and coordinate takeoff lists of new projects.
- Sending out RFQ’s to vendors for quoted items.
- Contact Vendors if quote comes back higher/lower than others that are closer together.
- Verify correct date of drawings on the Proposal.
- Verify all RFI’s and Addendums are listed on
