About the role
The HVAC Controls Tech Senior performs installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of building automation systems. They also investigate malfunctioning HVAC equipment and systems to determine the cause of problems and implement solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serving as a lead to staff to include training, assigning, and monitoring work, and providing instruction
- Observing and coordinating with contractors for installations, maintenance, and minor repairs
- Investigating malfunctioning HVAC equipment and systems
- Determining the cause of problems and performing efficient repairs
- Implementing solutions within a timely and cost-effective manner
- Designing, fabricating, and installing customized HVAC systems
- Responding to emergency calls for various types of HVAC failures
- Preparing records and reports
- Assessing and replenishing inventory of HVAC equipment and materials
- Providing input for annual budget preparation
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Six years of progressively responsible residential and commercial experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered
- Georgia State Conditioned Air Contractor Class II (unrestricted) license
- Valid driver's license
