HVAC/Chiller Manufacturing Test Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop a Team of Test Technicians and Test Stand facilities to ensure a world class experience for our customers.
  • Identify and effectively facilitate First Pass Yield improvements and DPU.
  • Develop test plans and testing procedures to effectively test chillers as per customer requirements.
  • Cook up and plan test facility calibration, maintenance and improvement of test stand facilities.
  • Interact with product management and engineering to ensure customers have a world class experience.
  • Support the launch of new products through Early Launch Containment planning and support.
  • Ensure testing complies with AHRI / ASHRAE, industry regulations, as well as safety requirements.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for product failures.
  • Maintain test equipment, laboratory tools, and participate in continuous improvement related to testing processes and product quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of automation, controls, data acquisition and instrumentation hardware and software.
  • Design or application experience in HVAC products, thermodynamics, heat transfer, controls, electrical power, refrigerant systems, and compressor technology.
  • Experience or familiarity with AHRI and/or other standards such as ASHRAE, ASME, etc.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Tableau.
  • Experience in Access and SharePoint, are a plus.
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally.
  • Ability to organize tasks and manage time to complete multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Experience Leading Teams and managing people.
