Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop a Team of Test Technicians and Test Stand facilities to ensure a world class experience for our customers.
- Identify and effectively facilitate First Pass Yield improvements and DPU.
- Develop test plans and testing procedures to effectively test chillers as per customer requirements.
- Cook up and plan test facility calibration, maintenance and improvement of test stand facilities.
- Interact with product management and engineering to ensure customers have a world class experience.
- Support the launch of new products through Early Launch Containment planning and support.
- Ensure testing complies with AHRI / ASHRAE, industry regulations, as well as safety requirements.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for product failures.
- Maintain test equipment, laboratory tools, and participate in continuous improvement related to testing processes and product quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field preferred.
- Experience and understanding of automation, controls, data acquisition and instrumentation hardware and software.
- Design or application experience in HVAC products, thermodynamics, heat transfer, controls, electrical power, refrigerant systems, and compressor technology.
- Experience or familiarity with AHRI and/or other standards such as ASHRAE, ASME, etc.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Tableau.
- Experience in Access and SharePoint, are a plus.
- Able to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally.
- Ability to organize tasks and manage time to complete multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Experience Leading Teams and managing people.
