HVAC Building Engineer (Mobile)

About the role

CBRE is seeking Commercial HVAC Mobile Building Engineers to support facilities in Florida. The role involves performing complex preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Complies with applicable codes, regulations, and directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC/R, and plumbing to ensure proper operation.
• Oversees and inspects contracted work performed by outside contractors, including landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC/R, plumbing, and cleaning.
• Performs assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance.
• Completes maintenance and repair records as required.
• Reviews assigned work orders and estimates time and materials needed to complete repairs.
• Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete tasks.
• Maintains an energy management program to ensure efficient operation of systems.
• Maintains building lighting systems, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
• Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of four (4) years of related experience and/or trade school training in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing.
• Engineering experience focusing on HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing.
• EPA required.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Necessary certifications/licenses as required by local or state jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
