HVAC Building Engineer

About The Role

CBRE is seeking Commercial HVAC Engineers who enjoy troubleshooting and maintaining building systems. This role supports large commercial office environments and involves installing, repairing, and servicing HVAC/R systems and equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Install, repair, adjust, service, and maintain electrical, steam, and chilled water systems.
• Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure accurate operation and compliance with codes.
• Fix equipment failures and recommend modifications.
• Mentor colleagues and share expertise.
• Lead projects and influence others.
• Collaborate with Building Management Systems (BMS) to supervise and adjust building operations.
• Diagnose and repair self-contained refrigeration equipment such as 4°C, -20°C, and -80°C units.

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills and a curious mindset.
