Responsibilities

• Perform routine HVAC maintenance including inspections, filter changes, and system checks
• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems and related mechanical equipment
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical components, piping, and refrigeration systems
• Test system performance and check for leaks or faulty connections
• Repair and maintain facility appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, fryers, and ovens
• Replace worn or defective parts including belts, bearings, switches, and wiring
• Install HVAC components such as compressors, condensers, and control valves
• Order materials and maintain records of repairs and maintenance activities
• Evaluate equipment to determine whether repair or replacement is the best solution
• Support general maintenance needs across Lutheran Home properties

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• HVAC certification or license required
• Experience maintaining and repairing HVAC systems and mechanical equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and climbing
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver license

Schedule

Full-time, typically Monday – Friday, day shift hours. Participation in an on-call rotation is required.
