HVAC Maintenance

About the role

Under general direction, the person performing this job is responsible for repairing and maintaining commercial refrigeration equipment for production equipment, support equipment, and facilities. Ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to plan.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosis of commercial chillers
• Diagnosis of HVAC (Rooftop and Mini split) units
• Diagnosis of Firing Furnaces
• Diagnosis of refrigeration equipment
• Diagnosis of dehumidification systems
• Provide service of Makeup air units
• Preventative maintenance
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

• Demonstrates concern for safety of self and others
• Self-starter with continuous improvement focus
• Calculates figures - basic math and some algebra
• Effectively communicates in verbal and written form
• Listens to and understands ideas presented by operators, co-workers, supervisors, and others
• Plans and executes work with limited supervision
• Performs visual inspection
• Ability to analyze and diagnose a problem

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
• Journeyman’s Card or Certification preferred, but not required
• 1-3 years manufacturing experience
