Hurdles Coach

About the role

The successful candidate will lead the high school track and field hurdles program, focusing on developing athletes' skills and fostering a competitive spirit.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs for hurdles events
• Coach and mentor athletes in technique and strategy
• Manage team logistics including scheduling meets and practices
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance overall athletic performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field
• Experience coaching hurdles or track and field at the high school level
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for athletics and a commitment to student development

Skills

• Knowledge of hurdle techniques and track and field rules
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Pay

Schedule

The coach will be responsible for planning and attending meets and practices, typically on weekdays and some evenings.
