Track Coach
About the role
We are seeking a results-driven Elementary School, Middle School and High School Sports Coach to join our dynamic community. The ideal candidate will be a part of a highly motivated team committed to education reform, parent choice, and the building of exemplary schools.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with coaches across the network to build a world-class athletics program
- Inspire a love for sport and encourage critical thinking through rigorous instruction
- Coordinate and lead family meetings
- Receive routine, ongoing feedback and support from an outstanding leadership team and faculty
Requirements
- Experience coaching youth and/or collegiate teams
- An advanced understanding/experience of Track and Field, Cross Country, and Long-distance running
- Able to manage both administrative and coaching aspects of the position in a timely and organized manner
- Able to develop/teach concepts such as teamwork, healthy lifestyles, sportsmanship
- A demonstrated track record of propelling students’ understanding and love of sport
- Experience working with K-12 grades in a school setting (a plus)
- A drive to ensure that joyful, rigorous instruction is delivered to every scholar, every day
- Ability to become part of the school community and build relationships with key stakeholders and all constituents
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree before your first day of work with Success Academy (a background in education is not required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for learning and commitment to student development
- Ability to work in person in New York City ($2500 stipend for qualified relocations)
