About the role

The Hunt Global Connect Director provides leadership, strategic direction, and administrative oversight for the Hunt College of Business’s global engagement and internationalization initiatives. The position works collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners to enhance international opportunities, experiential learning, and institutional visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development, implementation, and administration of international programs and initiatives that promote global engagement, with a strategic focus on U.S.–Mexico collaboration as well as broader internationalization of the College.
  • Establishes and maintains strategic partnerships with universities, corporations, government entities, and organizations to support collaborative programming, student opportunities, and institutional engagement, with emphasis on Mexico and other priority regions.
  • Identifies, develops, and advances new international and cross-border initiatives aligned with institutional priorities and strategic goals.
  • Expands and coordinates international internships, study abroad, faculty-led programs, and experiential learning opportunities in collaboration with external partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Plans, coordinates, and oversees events, delegations, and activities related to international and binational initiatives in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Serves as the primary liaison among faculty, departments, and external partners to ensure effective coordination and execution of international initiatives.
  • Collaborates with faculty and academic units to support international program development, research collaboration, and integration of global perspectives into the curriculum.
  • Provides oversight of program operations, including planning, scheduling, logistics, travel coordination, university permits, forms, and compliance, and resource allocation to ensure timely and effective program delivery.
  • Assists and advises faculty, students, and staff on travel and logistical arrangements related to international programs and activities.
  • Develops and executes communication and outreach strategies to promote global initiatives among students, faculty, and staff, including preparation of reports, marketing materials, and digital content.
  • Coordinates with internal and external communications teams to ensure consistent messaging, branding, and outreach.
  • Maintains proficiency in standard office software and institutional systems required to support program operations.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience: Five years of related experience and/or training to the essential duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience dealing with international partners. Bilingual in English and Spanish is desirable but not required. Must be able to travel internationally and obtain and maintain all documentation necessary for international travel.

Pay

Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm, flexibility is required on evenings and weekends.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's objectives, policies and applicable laws. May supervise staff, student workers, or program personnel; assigns responsibilities, monitors performance, and provides guidance and training.
