Vision for the Role

The Accommodations Assistant plays a vital role in creating a distraction-free environment for guests by maintaining spaces that help facilitate ministry experiences. This individual provides general help and assistance for a variety of manual labor projects, setup tasks, facility cleanup, and guest hospitality that supports the daily operations and activities of camp.

The Role

• Aid in creating a distraction-free environment for campers and guests by cleaning restrooms, vacuuming, setting up meeting rooms, hauling trash, washing windows, and preparing guest lodging in a detail-oriented manner
• Follow all safety procedures and directions provided by supervisors
• Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, contributing to a Christ-centered team environment
• Represent Hume Christian Camps’ values and mission through conduct, attitude, and service

Our Ideal Candidate

• Must be at least 18 years old
• No previous experience or specific skills required
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and work outdoors or indoors as needed
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work under supervision
• Must agree with and support Hume Christian Camps’ Statement of Faith
• Must have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel through word and deed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, frequently lift 25 pounds, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions of the job
• Live and work in extreme weather conditions, at high altitude, and in small living quarters
