Humanities Division Adjunct Faculty

About the role

Madisonville Community College seeks part‑time adjunct instructors to teach face‑to‑face or online courses in Communications, English, History, Music, Reading/Sociology, and Sociology/History at $550 per credit hour. Positions are on‑site, non‑exempt, and may involve day, evening, hybrid, accelerated, or online delivery modalities.

Pay

$550 per credit hour.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned lecture and clinical courses (including respiratory lecture and clinical components).
• Deliver instruction via face‑to‑face day/evening, hybrid, accelerated, or online formats.
• Foster an active and inclusive learning environment.
• Use the learning management system (Blackboard) for communication and feedback.
• Engage in professional development activities.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to student learning and employ active, engaged teaching methods and technology.
• Show interest in the mission of the comprehensive community college concept.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in the teaching discipline, or a Master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 credit hours in the discipline.

Qualifications

• Community college teaching experience preferred.
