About the role
The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) is seeking visionary leaders to serve as Human Services Supervisor 2 in multiple positions. This role is central to the Oregon Eligibility Partnership (OEP), which provides direction and resources for determining eligibility for medical, food, cash, and childcare benefits through the ONE eligibility system.
Responsibilities
- Perform administrative functions to carry out department objectives and implement the department’s vision, leveraging local community resources and staff.
- Participate in the management of agency programs, development of program rules and policies, program evaluation, and budget preparation.
- Monitor and analyze local office effectiveness in policy implementation and application through reviews, routine monitoring, and quality control data.
- Analyze, evaluate, and monitor operational effectiveness to ensure alignment with department goals.
- Facilitate communication of program issues between department staff, community partners, the district office, and central office.
- Anticipate agency needs and direction, articulating that vision to staff and the community to foster effective change in services, programs, community partnerships, and resource use.
- Actively model ODHS’s Equity North Star goals and Core Values of Stewardship, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Service Equity, Innovation, and Professionalism.
- Ensure staff understand these goals and values, holding yourself and staff accountable for integrating them into everyday actions and behaviors.
Requirements
- Four years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR
- One year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Valid driver’s license or other acceptable method of transportation for routine travel and an acceptable driving record.
- If selected as a finalist, a criminal history and background check will be conducted. Adverse results may lead to disqualification.
- Completion of the US Department of Homeland Security’s I-9 form within three days of hire to confirm authorization to work in the United States. ODHS uses E-Verify.
- If a degree is listed as a minimum qualification, verification of completed education will be required before moving forward in the hiring process.

Working Conditions
- On-site and in-person at the Hillsboro/Beaverton OEP ODHS Storefront Office, open 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
- Non-conventional work hours expected, including evenings and weekends.
- Occasional travel to attend meetings and trainings.
- Works in an integrated environment with diverse programs, partners, and staff.
- Regular contact with the public, including Oregonians experiencing emotional and financial stress. Requires compassion and professionalism through a trauma-informed lens.
- High-stress, high-volume workload with short time frames.
- Potential exposure to illness, disease, and unsanitary conditions through direct client contact.
Pay
Salary range: $5,907 – $9,103 per month.
