Human Services Professional

About the role

We are seeking a Human Service Professional to support individuals facing mental health challenges, homelessness, or involvement with the criminal justice system.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, recovery-focused services in community locations, shelters, jails, offices, and schools.
• Assist with enrollment in programs such as BadgerCare/Medicaid & FoodShare and support applications for Social Security, IDs, employment, and housing.
• Offer mental health coordination, recovery support, life skills, coping skills, budgeting, and medication management assistance.
• Coordinate education opportunities including GED and technical college.
• Collaborate with clients and teams, maintain accurate documentation, and apply evidence-based practices to promote independence and stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services-related field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Counseling, Sociology, Education, Occupational Therapy).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in community-based environments, strong communication and organizational skills, and experience working with individuals in crisis.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and computer applications.
