Human Services Director

About the role

This position involves performing highly complex consultative services and technical assistance work in the Student Assessment Division related to the development and scoring of the newly mandated End-of-Course tests in English I, II, and III.

Requirements

• Education: Graduation from an accredited four year college or university
• Experience: A minimum of two (2) years experience working directly with large-scale assessments in high school English Language Arts and/or writing or working with high school English programs at the district, ESC, or state level. Four (4) years of experience is preferred
• Licenses: Valid Texas Teaching Certification, preferred

• Knowledge: The scoring process for performance assessments, such as written compositions and short-answer reading responses; and the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) curriculum for high school English courses
• Skills: Interacting professionally with contractors, colleagues, and the public; exhibiting sound judgment when making decisions; writing with precision and clarity; revising effectively and proofreading accurately; producing consistently error-free work; and using Microsoft Word and other standard office technologies
