Position Information This position is a 1.0 FTE that supports the Human Resources Department. The salary range for this position is $70,500 to $88,000 annually, with the starting salary determined based on relevant experience. This position is fully benefit eligible, please see attached for benefit information. Nature of Work This position maintains integrity and reliability of the district’s HRIS and other systems to ensure applications meet the needs, requirements, and objectives of the HR department. Responsibilities include defining, designing, and customizing processes and recommending enhancements and solutions to optimize systems and efficiencies, by identifying problems, needs, and goals through collaboration and presentation of information with/to HR and other internal needs. This position plans and facilitates systems enhancements, modifications, and improvements, including providing training and on-going support. Typical Class Responsibilities Ensures needs of HR/Payroll departments are met through efficient utilization of systems and defined processes; consults with individuals to recommend task distribution and define procedures and best practice.Assesses system utilization, identifying areas for added efficiencies and recommending improvements such as training, customization, creation of tools, and enhancements to maximize value of systems and time.Prepares reports and presents findings, makes recommendations to HR director and other district leadership.Collaborates with business and technology departments and other HR staff to plan, modify and customize the HRIS and test new applications and features.Defines processes and prepares training materials, guides, and documentation, as well as ongoing training and support.Facilitates the collection/auditing/updating of employee data, including pay data, assignment data, and other personnel data, including year-end HR processing (rolling contracts), and open enrollment.Oversees reporting processes, including federal and state reporting, providing direction, guidance, and review of final submission of data to reporting agencies.Collaborates with HR and District leadership to identify system goals and objectives, research and test solution options, develops plans to modify or replace HRIS applications, modules, and systems.Ensures system and process compliance with local and federal guidelines and bargaining agreements.Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. Training And Experience Requirements Associate degree in human resources or related fieldThree (3) years experience working with HR business systemsExperience with Skyward, Red Rover, and/or Education Advanced preferred Knowledge Requirements Human Resources policies and proceduresSystem design, lifecycle, and development processInformation systems with highly technical understanding of the HRIS productApplicable local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulationsRecordkeeping principlesComputers and related software applications Skill Requirements Communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailOperating a computer and applicable software applicationsProficiency in Microsoft Office and other related softwareAbility to work in an agile and flexible work environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving Physical Requirements Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, use of fingers, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Sedentary Work: Exerting up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
