Human Resources Specialist (On-site)

About the role

Provide professional HR support on third shift in a heavy manufacturing setting.

Key Job Elements

• Building and maintaining employee records in accordance with corporate standards
• Ensuring compliance with local and corporate HR policies and procedures
• Serving as a point of contact to employees for all HR related topics
• Processing employee payroll
• Timely submission of forms and documents to corporate HR
• Processing all employee leave paperwork
• Administering employee benefit plans
• Conducting candidate interviews and hiring process
• Processing company responses to unemployment claims
• Interpreting and advising employees on company policies
• Special projects and event planning

Education / Training

• Some college required; Bachelor's in Human Resources or Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience preferred
• Professional certification in Human Resources preferred

Qualifications and Experience

• 3-5 years as an HR professional in a heavy manufacturing environment
• Ability to create and present information to a large group
• Proven written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in Kronos and HRIS
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of laws regarding employment law, employee benefits, leave and accommodations
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities
