HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST III AND IV - OAHU
Duties Summary
Human Resources Specialist III: Performs moderately difficult work of a technical nature in one or more of the functional areas of human resources management (i.e., Classification and Pay; Recruitment, Examination and Placement; Training and Employee Management Training; Human Resources Administration Services; and Labor Relations); and performs other related duties as assigned.
Human Resources Specialist IV: Performs human resources assignments which regularly encompass complex problems combined with the responsibility for management advisory service; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Legal Authorization to Work Requirement: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- Basic Education/Experience: A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
- Specialized Experience: For Level III, one and one half years and for Level IV, two and one-half years of professional work experience in one or any combination of human resources management functions; i.e., recruitment, placement, examination, position classification, pay or wage administration, employee management relations and services, employee development, human resources program development and services, labor relations, and human resources research.
