About the role
The FSD Human Resources Administrator Specialist supports the Human Resources Manager with various administrative functions within Human Resources and performs duties related to the operations of the Federal Services Division.
Responsibilities
- Aid with e-Hub resets and issues.
- Complete monthly reports.
- Review employee files to respond to inquiries and provide information to authorized personnel.
- Correspond with the Marketing Department to provide client and officer updates, awards, birthdays, training schedules (etc) to be included in the Walden Report.
- Perform other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating.
- Keep records related to employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason.
- Administer pre-employment background checks, and pre- and post-employment documentation.
- Provide Walden Security benefits information and assist with completing the necessary forms to enroll and cancel benefits.
- Update employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
- Create and enter new employee personnel information into the HRIS.
- Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation.
- Participate in company Quality Assurance initiatives, including record-keeping, training, and auditing.
- Answer DOL unemployment inquiries and complete verification of employment requests for employees.
- Partner with FSD Intermediate Supervisors and Contract Managers to identify hiring needs.
- Maintain applicant flow and sourcing methods; source hourly candidates for the contract Operations, including placing advertisements, attending career fairs, directing sourcing, and job posting both internally and externally.
- Source qualified hourly candidates through the Applicant Tracking System and available resources.
- Collect required applicant documentation and applicant packet.
- Inform applicants of the hiring process, including medical exams, drug screens, etc.
- Inform applicants of benefits offered, such as life, health, dental, and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leaves of absence, and employee assistance.
- Perform a variety of tasks unique to each specific government account.
- Build a professional relationship with customers, employees, and staff.
- Assist with the coordination and scheduling of new hires.
