The Human Resources Specialist serves as a versatile member of the Human Resources team, providing support across Benefits Administration, Team Member Relations, Recruiting, and Human Resources Operations. This position serves as a primary resource for Team Members regarding benefit programs, enrollment processes, eligibility requirements, and general Human Resources inquiries.
Responsibilities
The Human Resources Specialist plays a key role in benefit education, open enrollment activities, and ongoing Team Member support to ensure employees understand and maximize the value of their benefit offerings. This position partners with Team Members, leaders, benefit vendors, and Human Resources leadership to deliver exceptional customer service while supporting organizational objectives.
- Benefits Administration: Serve as a primary point of contact for Team Members regarding benefit programs, eligibility requirements, enrollment procedures, and benefit-related questions.
- Human Resources Operations: Provide exceptional customer service and support to Team Members and leaders regarding Human Resources policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
- Recruiting Support: Assist with recruitment activities including interview scheduling, candidate communication, job postings, and onboarding support.
- Team Member Relations Support: Assist with Team Member Relations activities, documentation, follow-up communications, and administrative support as directed.
- General Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with company policies, Tribal Gaming regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources, Benefits Administration, Recruiting, Customer Service, or related experience.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with benefits administration, open enrollment, or employee benefit programs.
- Experience in hospitality, gaming, casino, hotel, or other high-volume service environments.
- Experience with Workday or similar Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
- Professional Human Resources certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent.
