Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Aid managers and employees through HR Workday processes as needed
- Provide knowledgeable Tier 1 technical support via phone, walk-up, and virtual environments like Microsoft Teams
- Take ownership of customer issues from first contact, ensuring the customer knows they are being assisted by a dedicated individual. Escalate to HR managers for issue resolution if necessary
- Collaborate with other Albany Med departments including Budget, IS, and payroll to develop solutions and assist in the execution of tasks
- Validate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual employee data integrity audits
- Absorb employees' HR policy interpretations and Workday inquiries during service desk support
- Utilize Workday test environment to explore and test potential solutions to troubleshoot issues
- Interact with leaders across Albany Med to ensure optimal Workday functionality aligns with organizational needs
- Become proficient in Workday configured business processes and workflows
- Perform proactive Workday testing and validation to support semi-annual system updates or future module implementations such as Benefits, Performance Management, etc.
- Identify system inefficiencies and recommend effective solutions
- Assist with HR projects and staffing initiatives
- Ensure that telephone calls, emails, and chats are responded to professionally and promptly
Requirements
- BA/BS required
- HR experience preferred
- Workday experience not required, but exposure or experience is preferred
Desired Skills and Knowledge
- Strong functional knowledge of HR processes
- Analytical skills, thorough, and detail-oriented
- Problem-solving and process improvement skills to deliver recommendations to work stream owners
- Some familiarity with Windows-based applications and technology
- Workday or other HCM experience preferred but not required
- HRIS/HRIT experience preferred but not required
