Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the Human Resources staff, including hiring, training and development, ensuring all services are provided on time and cost effective.
- Manage programs, policies and procedures ensuring fair application and practices as well as legal compliance.
- Train around providing medical, security and safety services in accordance with company guidelines.
- Provide leadership and management of the work environment via the use of the PBIP (Positive Behavior Intervention Plan) and QIP (Quality Improvement Plan).
- Keep the facility appropriately staffed with competent hourly and salaried associates through acceptable employment practices.
- Take a leadership role in creating the environment which fosters change and be a leader in change management.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics or related discipline and 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in problem-solving automated timekeeping systems and orientation of new associates.
- Able to multi-task and organize multiple projects.
- Strong analytical skills, analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and functional level.
- Knowledge of and ability to provide strong customer orientation along with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization and a commitment to excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A commitment to team performance, effective coaching and demonstrated skills or a strong team player.
- Ability to travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and/or company business.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
- Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
- May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
- May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
- May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing facility.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
- May need to climb ladders.
