What You’ll Do
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and new-hire orientation to support staffing needs across the facility.
- Partner with managers and Corporate HR to understand workforce requirements, coach on effective interviewing, and ensure consistent hiring practices.
- Provide guidance on performance management, corrective actions, policy interpretation, and employee development.
- Oversee employee relations, conduct investigations, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws.
- Administer benefits, leave programs, wellness initiatives, and maintain accurate HRIS and personnel records.
- Support organizational development efforts including performance reviews, development plans, and succession planning.
- Lead labor relations activities, including managing grievances, interpreting the labor agreement, preparing job postings, and participating as a member of the company bargaining committee.
- Care for seasonal workforce processes, including migrant labor planning, compliance requirements, and agency relationships.
- Build positive relationships throughout the plant, uphold Lakeside’s cultural values, and support employee engagement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
- 5+ years of HR experience (required), preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in labor relations, including contract interpretation and grievance management (required).
- Strong knowledge of employment laws (EEOC, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, etc.).
- Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
- SHRM-CP, PHR certification, or previous supervisory experience (preferred).
