Key Responsibilities Manage hiring, onboarding, employee relations, discipline, and terminationsConduct workplace investigations and maintain accurate documentationEnsure compliance with Illinois and federal employment lawsOversee employee files, handbook policies, and performance managementCoordinate DOT/FMCSA driver documentation and safety complianceReview payroll, compensation agreements, attendance, and wage practicesManage workers' compensation administration and employee claimsPartner with management to improve accountability and employee retention Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experienceExperience in transportation, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial operationsStrong knowledge of Illinois employment laws and HR complianceProven experience handling investigations, discipline, and terminationsStrong organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skillsAbility to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality Preferred: SHRM/PHR certification, Paychex experience, DOT/FMCSA knowledge, and bilingual English/Spanish skills.
