Human Resources Manager (Rensselaer, IN)
Role Responsibilities
Lead HR support at a large distribution center. Responsible for developing and implementing employee relations practices and strategies, including the following:
- employee engagement
- wage and salary administration
- selection and staffing
- orientation and training
- organizational development
- performance management succession planning and conflict resolution
Influence, coach and provide guidance to the plant leadership team and employees regarding HR practices, policies and procedures.
Influence and partner with Operations leadership and other key stakeholders to drive HR and operational strategies.
Responsible for leading investigations and proposing any related corrective action.
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for the entire site.
Lead HR-related projects and initiatives both within the site and the broader HR Organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive human resources experience
- 2+ years of human resources management experience
Bachelor's degree
Prior experience working in a distribution center environment
Human Resources certifications are ideal (i.e. SCP – Senior Certified Professional)
Master’s degree in HR-related discipline
Excellent knowledge of Human Resources practices; working knowledge of HR related laws and regulations
Possess knowledge of management; the principles, practices, and procedures of Human Resources Management
Strong communication skills, problem solving skills, and negotiation skills
Able to plan, coordinate, and direct the work of others
Experience conducting employment related investigations
Solid analytical skills and ability to understand the business context and strategy
Able to effectively work on multiple assignments, while responding to frequent interruptions and changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
