Key Responsibilities
- Administer multi-state HR compliance initiatives under the direction of the Director of Human Resources.
- CookFMLA, Colorado FAMLI, ADA accommodation, ACA, OSHA, and related compliance programs.
- Maintain required compliance documentation, leave records, and personnel files.
- Ensure employment practices remain consistent with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Monitor document retention requirements for personnel, leave, and workers' compensation records.
- Support ongoing compliance audits and internal process improvements.
- Serve as a primary HR resource for employee relations matters involving Security Officers and Field Training Officers (FTOs).
- Conduct workplace investigations while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Prepare investigation summaries and supporting documentation.
- Guide supervisors regarding performance documentation, corrective action, and progressive discipline.
- Aid in the resolution of complex employee relations matters as assigned.
- Coordinate benefits administration for medical, dental, vision, and supplemental programs.
- Manage ICHRA eligibility tracking and contribution administration.
- Communicate with benefit vendors, brokers, and insurance carriers.
- Coordinate annual Open Enrollment activities.
- Reconcile carrier invoices and payroll deductions for benefit accuracy.
- Maintain ACA eligibility tracking and compliance records.
- Supervise and support HR Generalists in daily operations.
- Assign workloads and monitor quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
- Review onboarding, employee records, guard card compliance, and pre-employment processing activities.
- Promote consistency across HR operational processes.
- Support onboarding activities for leadership-level employees.
- Oversee HR Generalist onboarding for Security Officers and FTOs.
- Care for employment changes, position updates, and separation documentation.
- Aid in background screening, drug screening, MVR processing, and employment eligibility verification.
- Perform compliance audits involving onboarding documentation, certifications, personnel files, benefits eligibility, leave administration, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with EEO-1 reporting and internal compliance initiatives.
- Coordinate workers' compensation claim documentation and carrier communications.
- Maintain accurate records supporting regulatory and operational compliance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Experience supervising or mentoring HR personnel.
- Strong knowledge of:FMLA, Colorado FAMLI, ADA, ACA, OSHA recordkeeping, FLSA, EEO-1 reporting, multi-state employment compliance, experience administering employee benefit programs, experience using HRIS platforms such as Paycor or similar systems.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to successfully complete a background check.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field; equivalent progressive HR experience will also be considered.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification.
- Experience managing distributed or multi-state workforces.
- Experience coordinating benefits brokers, carriers, and third-party vendors.
- Previous experience with HR compliance reporting and audit preparation.
