About the role

MOGEL RPO is partnering with a leading financial analytics and technology organization to hire a Human Resources Manager to lead and execute core HR operations across a multi-state workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, and offboarding across multiple states
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, leave laws, and pay transparency requirements
  • Administer employee benefits programs such as health insurance, 401(k), and HSA/FSA plans, including coordination of annual open enrollment
  • Maintain and update employee handbook and HR policies to ensure alignment with evolving regulations and business needs
  • Oversee I-9 and E-Verify compliance and maintain accurate employee records
  • Serve as HRIS administrator, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and process optimization
  • Cook up performance review cycles and support merit planning processes
  • Manage compliance-related training programs (e.g., harassment prevention, workplace safety)
  • Administer workers’ compensation programs, including claims management and vendor coordination
  • Partner with leadership and external counsel on HR compliance and risk-related matters
  • Support reporting and tracking of key HR metrics, including turnover, engagement, and workforce trends
  • Contribute to ongoing HR initiatives and process improvements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in an HR leadership or management role
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state employment laws and compliance requirements (California experience preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with payroll, benefits administration, and HR operations
  • Experience managing open enrollment and performance review cycles
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and reporting tools
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to create polished, employee-facing materials
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Bachelor’s degree required; PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification preferred
