About the role
As a Human Resources Manager at one of our Metro-Detroit Complex Sites, you will play a key role in our ability to deliver what we promise to our customers. You Will Drive All Aspects That Lead To a Positive Culture At The Complex, An Engaged And Capable Workforce, And Efficient Operations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Site leadership to drive culture and organizational development initiatives across multiple Sites
- Partner with the Site managers to ensure operational excellence within the Complex, supporting the vision and goals of the organization
- Coach and support Site leadership on all HR processes and activities
- Lead the Complex HR team in all HR processes and activities
- Coach and develop the Complex HR team, supporting their continued career growth
- Develop relationships with the organizations and key figures within the community in which the Complex is located
- Ensure compliance with various local and federal regulations, as well as company and Complex policies, practices and agreements
Requirements
- Working with multiple stakeholders with diverse objectives, to ensure the most effective business solutions are derived
- Carrying out succession planning activities and workforce talent gap closure activities
- Supporting and driving employee development and engagement initiatives within an organization
- Interpreting and applying a collective bargaining agreement
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders of an organization
- Execution of lean manufacturing processes around employee development and training, driving continuous improvement, to increase efficiency and productivity
- Analyzing and using complex data to make decisions
- Participation in collective bargaining processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in human resources or a related field
- 3 years of experience leading others in a manufacturing environment
- Able to coach and develop teams
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Law
- Demonstrated experience with Workday HR systems
- Experience supporting operations in dynamic environments, including new product launches
- Experience applying lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
