Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR leader for the site, supporting ~50 employees
- Partner with leaders to align people strategies with business growth objectives
- Lead full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees
- Administer benefits programs and collaborate with benefit providers and brokers on plan evaluation and enhancements
- Drive employee onboarding, engagement, retention, and development initiatives
- Support performance management processes, including performance reviews, goal setting, and talent planning
- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations and people management best practices
- Manage payroll administration through ADP, including 401(k) plan coordination and related employee support
- Review and enhance HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook content to ensure compliance
- Develop and maintain job descriptions, compensation structures, and workforce planning programs
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices
- Partner with safety and operational leaders to promote a strong workplace safety culture
- Identify opportunities to modernize and improve HR processes, systems, and reporting as the organization continues to grow
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
- 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including broad HR generalist responsibilities (recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits, compliance)
- Strong working knowledge of Wisconsin and U.S. employment laws and regulations
- Experience managing multiple HR functions independently, preferably in a small or mid-sized organization
- Payroll administration experience, including ADP or similar platforms
- Mechanical or manufacturing industry experience preferred
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR-related certification preferred
- Proven ability to build relationships, influence leaders, and earn trust at all levels of the organization
- Self-starter with a hands-on approach and a passion for improving processes and driving positive change
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Ability to balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day HR administration in a fast-paced growth environment

$80,000-95,000
Schedule
This role offers flexibility at 32 hours per week, with the potential to grow into a full-time position as the company continues to expand.
