About the role
This is a high-impact role for an HR professional who enjoys wearing many hats, handling situations autonomously, and rolling up their sleeves to be hands-on in day-to-day HR tasks. Reporting to company leadership, you will manage the full employee lifecycle—from talent acquisition and onboarding to employee relations, benefits, compliance, and performance management. The ideal candidate has experience supporting construction or related industries, embraces change, and is excited to help shape the HR strategy of a company in growth mode. Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR resource for the organization, owning the full employee lifecycle and direct contact with all employees
- Assist in software deployment of Workday, Points North, and ADP
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational growth, and employee engagement initiatives
- Lead recruiting efforts for salaried and field positions, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation
- Manage employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Oversee benefits administration, leave management, and employee communications
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices
- Develop, implement, and improve HR policies, procedures, and programs that support a growing organization
- Manage all payroll including Prevailing Wage calculations while overseeing Certified Payroll processes
- Act as a leader of information on compensation, performance reviews, and HR reporting
- Support managers with employee development, coaching, and leadership guidance
- Travel periodically to company offices in North Carolina and Florida to support regional HR initiatives
- All other tasks as business needs require
Requirements
- BA/BS degree required
- 7+ years of HR Business Manager experience, with a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, policy governance, and manager coaching
- Solid working knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws in Massachusetts (experience in Florida is a plus)
- Extensive working knowledge of employee relations principles, practices, and procedures

Pay
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 based on experience
Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (in office between Plainville and Hingham regularly)
- Occasional evening hours required to meet with employees as needed
- Twice a year weekend availability required to attend company-wide training events
- Quarterly visits to Orlando office
