About the role
StyleCraft Homes is a locally based, family-owned business building homes in desirable communities throughout the Greater Richmond area. We are seeking a full-time onsite Human Resources Manager to oversee day-to-day HR functions, support a strong company culture, and drive continual improvement and excellence. This is a hands-on, single-contributor role reporting to the CFO.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including authoring job postings, monitoring applicant flow, interviewing, preparing offer documents, and full onboarding and offboarding.
- Provide guidance to management on employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and participate in the disciplinary/termination process.
- Work with the benefits broker to administer quality benefit plans, handle Open Enrollment, new hire enrollment, and all benefit administration.
- Maintain and update the HRIS system.
- Process payroll.
- Administer the growth review process and annual compensation review, track compliance, and assist managers with feedback.
- Coordinate and plan company events, including training and development, company-wide meetings, and fun events.
- Create and maintain the annual HR budget.
- Work with third parties for regulatory and compliance reporting.
- Manage FMLA, STD, LTD, and Workers' Compensation leaves, claims, and reporting.
- Develop, maintain, and update HR standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and progressive HR experience in an HR Generalist, HR Manager, or similar role supporting employee relations, HR operations, and manager guidance.
- SHRM and/or HRCI certifications preferred.
