About the role
Leads and oversees all Human Resources functions for U.S. plant operations, ensuring operational HR excellence, workforce stability, and legal compliance, while acting as a strategic business partner to plant leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end HR service delivery across assigned U.S. plant(s)
- Ensure execution excellence in workforce administration, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and HR systems accuracy
- Standardize HR processes aligned with NA and Corporate HR
- Partner with plant leadership on workforce strategies
- Support organizational design and workforce planning
- Analyze workforce trends (turnover, absenteeism, productivity)
- Manage investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
- Oversee performance management processes
- Ensure policy consistency and risk mitigation
- Ensure compliance with U.S. employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA)
- Maintain audit readiness and documentation
- Partner with NA Talent Acquisition for hiring strategies
- Support onboarding and retention initiatives
- Manage HR Business Partner and HR Coordinator
- Develop team capabilities and performance
- Partner with EHS to support safety programs and compliance
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions
- Drive HR process improvements and support operational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field required
- HR certification preferred
- 7–10+ years HR experience
- 3–5+ years in manufacturing HR leadership
Skills
- Knowledge of U.S. labor laws
- HRIS experience
- Data analytics and reporting
Work Environment
Manufacturing environment
Fast-paced with shop floor presence
Infrequent travel required
