About the role

Elderwood at Hamburg is seeking a Human Resource Manager (HRM) to support all business operations by managing HR administration, execution, and recruitment.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment: Sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding candidates through the Applicant Tracking System; maintaining open positions report; participating in recruitment events; managing internal postings; promoting the Employee Referral Program; tracking and paying referral bonuses.
  • Onboarding & Training: Orienting new hires, completing paperwork, delivering HR training, scheduling General Orientation, ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
  • Administrative: Obtaining required documentation, coordinating new hire physicals, ensuring proper documentation of personnel actions, initiating and administering performance evaluations, conducting surveys and exit interviews, processing wage verification forms, ordering badges, and maintaining staff records.
  • Payroll & Benefits: Distributing benefits information, maintaining ADP HRIS, reviewing timecards, running reports, assisting with inquiries, interpreting policies, distributing termination documents, coordinating activities, compiling paperwork for leaves, handling unemployment and workers' compensation claims, and submitting information for claims.
  • Employee Relations: Triaging concerns, applying policies, maintaining disciplinary logs, driving recognition programs, supporting development, researching and enforcing policies, overseeing HR initiatives, and providing guidance.
  • General: Adhering to policies, following dress code, using electronic devices appropriately, supporting the mission, vision, and values, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • PHR certification preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a Human Resources management role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in state and federal labor laws, FMLA, OHSA, and COBRA.
  • Prior recruitment and employee onboarding experience.
  • Prior payroll and benefits experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong organizational and communication skills.
