The Human Resources Manager on our HR Advisory and Outsourcing team plays a crucial role in adding value to our clients while gaining valuable insights and exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, recommends, and implements human resources activities, policies, procedures, and programs for an organization, assisting upper management as requested.
  • Manages activities relating to staffing, employee education and training, management development, labor relations, affirmative action, benefits administration, and salary administration.
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitudes toward company goals.
  • Keeps records of insurance coverage, pension plans, and personnel transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Conducts benefits analyses.
  • Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carriers.
  • Participates in compensation and benefit surveys and/or conducts wage surveys within the labor market to determine competitive wage rates and remain apprised of current trends.
  • Writes separation notices for employees separating with cause, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Prepares employee handbooks; writes HR and operational policies.
  • Prepares reports and recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates employee performance, and recommends or initiates promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
  • Makes representations at HR-related hearings and investigations.
  • Hires, trains, and manages employees through various stages of employment.
  • Administers payroll processes.
  • Writes job descriptions.
  • Understands and applies labor, wage, and hour laws.
  • May be required to occasionally work extended hours, or travel to/from different firm offices and/or client locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Professional certifications such as CCP, SHRM, or SHRM-CP.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in human resources or related field.
  • Advanced HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP).
  • Experience with HRIS platforms.
  • Knowledge of employment law, payroll, and HR compliance.
  • Experience administering HR policies, benefits programs, and performance management programs.

  • Broad and demonstrable HR knowledge in areas such as Compensation & Benefits, Employee Communications, Employee Data Management, Employee Relations, Employment Authorization, Employment Law, Full-Cycle Recruiting, HR Policy Administration, HR Regulatory Compliance, Immigration Administration, Onboarding, Organizational Change Management, Performance Management Programs, Safety Policies and Procedures, Salary Program Administration, Training Delivery, and Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS).
