About the role

We are looking for a self-driven Human Resources Manager to join our Nuclear team in Round Rock, Texas. You will be directly responsible for all facets of Human Resources and bring prior experience focused on training & leadership development, employee engagement, employee relations. This is a hands-on role with a high involvement in day-to-day activities that requires full-time onsite presence. The position may require limited travel within the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior management to implementing the organization’s business strategy and objectives, advise management on their operational and business decisions, and make recommendations to achieve objectives.
  • Serve as a close advisor to the head of HR and will be a key team member of the HR Team.
  • Responsible for the administration of the performance coaching and salary programs to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
  • Apply compensation benchmarking, provide thorough analysis of results, prepare recommendations and action plans to address identified gaps.
  • Manage annual variable compensation plans for the business unit.
  • Responsible for the succession planning, training and leadership development initiatives required at the business unit.
  • Proactively assess needs and work proactively with management to define programs and plans to comply with any and all quality requirements associated with the HR function.
  • Provide direction and coaching to management and employees on effective resolution of employee relations and performance issues.
  • Manage and motivate assigned staff, plan and establish goals & objectives, evaluate performance and provide on-going feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources, with 3+ years in supervisory/management role.
  • Solution and results focused with a strong take-action attitude.
  • Initiative is key for success in this position.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated abilities for coaching and counseling managers and employees at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced level Excel user with demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective program, policies, processes, and systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, matrix organization yet be a strong relationship builder.
  • Will be a member of the site’s Sr. Staff and must demonstrate HR value in all work-related venues.
  • Assist with staffing, compensation & benefits.

  • Experience in training adult learners.
  • Experience with Workday.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
