The Human Resources Manager will oversee HR functions within the branch, focusing on human capital and risk mitigation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and addressing site business initiatives, issues, and challenges.
  • Handling employee relations issues such as attendance, performance management, and conduct.
  • Providing guidance on payroll questions, health plan options, vacation policy, etc.
  • Partnering with the Recruitment Team and Branch Ambassador for a smooth new employee experience.
  • Evaluating and selecting manager and supervisor hires and promotions.
  • Contributing to talent assessment and development initiatives.
  • Compiling and analyzing people metrics and developing solutions.
  • Recommendation of training needs and implementing new policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Processing payroll change notices and updates in UltiPro.

Qualifications include:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Familiarity with different HR areas of specialization.
  • 3+ years of experience handling employee relations matters.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Project Management and prioritizing deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Independent work capability and sound judgment.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Up to 3 years of previous management experience.
  • Experience with UKG and Kronos.
  • Experience working with temporary staff.
  • Previous experience in high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service, or forward logistics operations.

Education requirement: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Physical demands and working conditions: Warehouse environment, may require local and occasional overnight travel.
