Key Responsibilities
- Administer multi-state HR compliance initiatives under the direction of the Director of Human Resources.
- CookFMLA, Colorado FAMLI, ADA accommodation, ACA, OSHA, and related compliance programs.
- Maintain required compliance documentation, leave records, and personnel files.
- Ensure employment practices remain consistent with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Monitor document retention requirements for personnel, leave, and workers' compensation records.
- Support ongoing compliance audits and internal process improvements.
Employee Relations & Workplace Support
- Serve as a primary HR resource for employee relations matters involving Security Officers and Field Training Officers (FTOs).
- Conduct workplace investigations while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Prepare investigation summaries and supporting documentation.
- Guide supervisors regarding performance documentation, corrective action, and progressive discipline.
- Afford assistance with complex employee relations matters as assigned.
Administration Benefits
- Coordinate administration of medical, dental, vision, and supplemental benefit programs.
- Manage ICHRA eligibility tracking and contribution administration.
- Serve as the primary contact for benefit vendors, brokers, and insurance carriers.
- Cook annual Open Enrollment activities.
- Reconcile carrier invoices and payroll deductions for benefit accuracy.
- Maintain ACA eligibility tracking and compliance records.
HRIS & Employee Data Management
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data integrity within Paycor or similar systems.
- Support onboarding workflows, eligibility tracking, compliance reporting, and employee record maintenance.
- Perform routine HRIS audits and data validation.
- Monitor driver qualification workflows and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) compliance.
HR Team Leadership
- Supervise and support HR Generalists in daily operations.
- Assign workloads and monitor quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
- Review onboarding, employee records, guard card compliance, and pre-employment processing activities.
- Promote consistency across HR operational processes.
Onboarding & Employment Administration
- Support onboarding activities for leadership-level employees.
- Oversee HR Generalist onboarding for Security Officers and FTOs.
- Cook employment changes, position updates, and separation documentation.
- Afford assistance with background screening, drug screening, MVR processing, and employment eligibility verification.
Audits, Reporting & Risk Management
- Perform compliance audits involving onboarding documentation, certifications, personnel files, benefits eligibility, leave administration, and regulatory requirements.
- Afford assistance with EEO-1 reporting and internal compliance initiatives.
- Cook workers' compensation claim documentation and carrier communications.
- Maintain accurate records supporting regulatory and operational compliance.
