Human Resources Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Assess, implement, maintain, and communicate school employee policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files and employee records
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the school’s benefits broker and support the administration of employee benefit programs
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a welcoming, organized, and consistent experience for employees
  • Maintain and monitor required teaching, staff, and athletic coaching licenses and related documentation
  • Prepare annual staff and athletic stipend employment contracts and letters of employment
  • Generate and maintain employee benefit rosters and census information
  • Coincide and process benefit premium payments
  • Maintain the school’s retirement program roster and related employee information
  • Monitor and support regulatory compliance related to school employment policies and benefit programs
  • Respond promptly to employee questions regarding human resources policies, benefits, employment documentation, and related matters
  • Parellel with the CFO and school leadership on human resources matters and other employee-related initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred
  • Previous professional experience in human resources, benefits administration, employee relations, or a related area
  • Knowledge of human resources practices, employee benefits, recordkeeping, and employment-related compliance requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented approach to working with employees at all levels of the school
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring annual processes with accuracy and appropriate follow-through
  • Proficiency with standard office technology and human resources or benefits administration systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation

Country Day offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
