The salary range for this position is $110,000 – $120,000 per year for employees hired in the Central Valley/Bay Area. The pay range provided in this job posting represents the typical range or starting rate for candidates hired within the Bay Area region. Key Responsibilities
- Provides guidance to employees and managers on agency policies and procedures, labor laws and general HR best practices
- Responds promptly to employee workplace concerns, following internal policies and processes to address concerns and conduct investigations as needed, ensuring legal compliance and working towards a mutual resolution
- Guides managers through challenging conversations, workplace conflict, and performance improvement discussions, coaching leaders to apply policies correctly and manage issues proactively
- Conducts and documents employee relations investigations, prepares findings and recommendations, and partners with leadership to implement appropriate next steps
- Supports HR projects and initiatives related to employee engagement, organizational development, employee records management, and total rewards programs
- Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Assists in developing, updating and policies and processes to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization
- Ensures accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation in accordance with agency standards and legal requirements
- Runs HR reports and analyzes workforce data to identify trends, uncover insights, and inform process improvements, retention strategies, and proactive risk mitigation
- Participates in HR audits, including fiscal, compliance, personnel file, and process audits to ensure organizational and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification preferred
- Minimum of five years of related progressive HR experience, with 2 to 3 as HR Generalist capacity, preferably in a diverse and highly regulated and volume environment
- Demonstrated experience conducting fair, compliant employee relations investigations, with strong knowledge of labor laws and sound documentation practices
- Skilled in handling sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion
- Ability to work a remote hybrid schedule, including periodic reporting to headquarters located in South San Francisco
- Meet all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing including Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance
