About the role
The Human Resources Manager oversees the Human Resources function and aligns it with business objectives. This role provides leadership in areas such as employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, compliance, employee engagement, and organizational development.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations matters, performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Support performance review processes and employee development initiatives.
- Partner with leaders to address performance concerns and implement corrective action plans.
- Lead new hire orientation and onboarding.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook content.
- Manage leave administration processes, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other protected leaves.
- Support audits, reporting requirements, and compliance initiatives.
- Aid in compensation reviews, salary benchmarking, and job classification processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
- Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports for leadership.
- Support employee leaves.
- Develop and implement programs that promote employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
- Support leadership development and training initiatives.
- Facilitate employee communication and recognition programs.
- Partner with leadership on change management and organizational initiatives.
- Supervise HR staff and provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
- Establish departmental goals and monitor performance against objectives.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience managing employee relations, performance management, and compliance matters.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Preferred: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Experience supporting multi-site or geographically dispersed workforces.
- Knowledge of Paylocity.
- Healthcare industry experience.
